DHL was losing ground in the SMB market – their key customer base. After an operational overhaul, DHL was ready to try and win back these customers, but rekindling these relationships was not going to be easy. We decided it was best to be humble and treat these high-value customers to a premium apology. On the front of the box a teaser read ‘I know it’ll take more than just candy to get you back’. When the box was opened, a courier slip for one free shipment was revealed with real premium chocolates on the inside.
A winback target of 5% resulted in an astonishing 76% response rate.
